Tradition à la française.

The Groupe Joulie is first and foremost a family adventure, where cuisine and hospitality forge the link that unites us across generations. Founded in 1975 by Gérard Joulie, a passionate gourmet, the group gradually expanded over the years. Today it is headed by Gérard’s son, Christophe Joulie, who has inherited this passion for the family business.

As an independent group, our ambition is to perpetuate a unique heritage. Our journey is both an homage to the past and a promise for the future.

AT JOULIE, TRADITION IS A FAMILY AFFAIR

Recreating the ineffable charm of a classic Parisian brasserie: such was the ambition our father set out to achieve almost 50 years ago, and his name now resonates as an institution in the restaurant world.
Through his passion and devotion, my father was able to build a group that embodies the very essence of Paris. Every establishment, every dish and every detail reflects an unconditional love for French culinary tradition and the art of Parisian living. This passion has been passed on to my brother Alexandre and myself, and today we continue to uphold the values of our family business with pride.
My ambition remains intact: offering our customers an authentic experience, where every meal is a celebration of French culture. We will continue to innovate while remaining faithful to the values that have spurred our success: excellence, authenticity and passion.
I would like to thank all those who have contributed to making the Groupe Joulie what it is today: our devoted staff, our loyal partners and, of course, our customers. Together, we will continue writing this captivating story, honouring my father’s legacy and showcasing the inimitable charm of Paris.

Our group has attained its status through the quality and the diversity of our establishments. With 12 restaurants and 2 hotels located across the French capital, we offer unique culinary experiences and services, combining French tradition with modern innovations.
Each establishment stands out for its warm and convivial atmosphere, impeccable service and welcome, and indulgent dishes made with the seasonal ingredients. Our goal is to offer the best value for money for our clientèle. Whether it’s for a business lunch, a romantic dinner or an evening between friends, we offer an array of choices suitable for any occasion. Our flagship addresses include Le Bouillon Chartier, an icon of Parisian culinary history, as well as more modern establishments such as Le Café du Commerce, and a cultural institution on Place de Clichy: Le Wepler. We have also aspired to develop our group’s reach into the hotel sector, in order to help travellers explore unique and memorable experiences with the same dedication we have shown to restaurants: our first establishment was Au Boeuf Couronné (located alongside the restaurant of the same name), while our latest is the Eiffel Kennedy hotel.
